Constructed Wetlands - In 2010, Malheur County SWCD teamed up with a private landowner to create artificial wetlands that purify the water by removing sediments and harmful nutrients like phosphorus. This project effectively transforms dirty water into clean water!
Invasive Plant Removal - The Malheur Co. SWCD is partnering with NRCS, a private landowner, and Pheasants Forever to combat invasive species on 3,000 acres of rangeland. By using Rejuvra and Plateau to effectively manage medusahead and cheatgrass, we will restore our ecosystems and prevent the spread of these harmful grasses. Together, we are making a meaningful impact!
